Description: The issue allows remote authenticated users to upload and execute arbitrary PHP code. This can be achieved by placing a .php filename in the Upload Avatar parameter and sending the image/gif content type.
Recommendations: For ImperialBB versions 2.3.5 and earlier, consider restricting access to the Upload Avatar parameter to prevent uploading of malicious files until a patch is available. Additionally, validate the content type of uploaded files to prevent execution of arbitrary PHP code. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
