CVE-2008-3186

CVSS v2.0

4.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Chipmunk Blog (Blogger) (affected versions not specified)
Description: The issue concerns multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities. These vulnerabilities allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the membername parameter to several API endpoints, including "members.php", "comments.php", "photos.php", "archive.php", or "cat.php".
Recommendations: As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the membername parameter in the affected API endpoints until a patch is available. Avoid using the membername parameter in the affected API endpoints, such as "members.php", "comments.php", "photos.php", "archive.php", or "cat.php", until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
