Description
A series of segmented Skinny Call Control Protocol (SCCP) messages may cause a Cisco IOS device to reload when NAT SCCP Fragmentation Support is enabled. This issue can be exploited by remote attackers to cause a denial of service. Cisco has released software updates to address this issue.
Recommendations
For Cisco IOS versions 12.2 and 12.4, update to a version that includes the software updates released by Cisco to address this issue. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the NAT SCCP Fragmentation Support feature until a patch is available.
