Description The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in a device reload, via a crafted IPv6 packet. Multiple vulnerabilities exist in the affected appliances.
Recommendations For Cisco Adaptive Security Appliances (ASA) 5500 Series versions 7.2(4)9 through 7.2(4)10, consider restricting the handling of crafted IPv6 packets until a fix is available. For Cisco PIX Security Appliances versions 7.2(4)9 through 7.2(4)10, consider restricting the handling of crafted IPv6 packets until a fix is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
