| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:P |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6
Description
A visual truncation issue allows remote attackers to spoof the address bar by using a URL with a hostname containing many (Non-Blocking Space character) sequences, which are rendered as whitespace.
Recommendations
For Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6, consider avoiding the use of URLs with many sequences in the hostname until a fix is available. As a temporary workaround, restrict access to potentially malicious websites to minimize the risk of address bar spoofing.
