Description The issue is related to an array index error in Adobe Reader and Acrobat, as well as the Explorer extension, which allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted PDF document. This is triggered by an out-of-bounds write when parsing Type 1 fonts.

Recommendations For Adobe Reader and Acrobat versions 8.1.2, 8.1.1, and earlier, update to a version that contains a fix for this issue to prevent remote code execution. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
