Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
W3C Amaya Web Browser version 10.0.1
Description
The issue is related to multiple stack-based buffer overflows that allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. This can be achieved via a link with a long HREF attribute or a DIV tag with a long id attribute.
Recommendations
For W3C Amaya Web Browser version 10.0.1, consider avoiding the use of long HREF attributes in links and long id attributes in DIV tags until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, restrict the handling of such attributes to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.
