Description
The issue allows remote attackers to bypass detection of malware in an HTML document. This can be achieved by placing an MZ header at the beginning of the document and modifying the filename to have no extension, a .txt extension, or a .jpg extension.
Recommendations
For HAURI ViRobot version 2008.12.4.1499, update the software to a version that includes improved malware detection capabilities.
For HAURI ViRobot version 2008.9.12.1375, update the software to a version that includes improved malware detection capabilities.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of Internet Explorer 6 or 7 with HAURI ViRobot until a patch is available.
