| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:P/I:N/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
phpPgAdmin versions 4.2.1 and earlier
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via a .. (dot dot) in the
language parameter to "index.php". This is possible when register globals is enabled.Recommendations
For phpPgAdmin versions 4.2.1 and earlier, consider disabling the register globals setting to prevent exploitation. Additionally, restrict access to the "index.php" endpoint to minimize the risk of reading arbitrary files. Avoid using the
language parameter in the affected endpoint until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
