Description The issue allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via a .. (dot dot) in the language parameter to "index.php". This is possible when register globals is enabled.
Recommendations For phpPgAdmin versions 4.2.1 and earlier, consider disabling the register globals setting to prevent exploitation. Additionally, restrict access to the "index.php" endpoint to minimize the risk of reading arbitrary files. Avoid using the language parameter in the affected endpoint until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
