CVE-2008-5639

CVSS v2.0

4.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:P/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions TxtBlog version 1.0 Alpha
Description The issue allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files due to a directory traversal vulnerability in the index.php file. This is achieved by using a .. (dot dot) in the m parameter of the vulnerable endpoint.
Recommendations For TxtBlog version 1.0 Alpha, consider restricting access to the m parameter in the index.php file to prevent directory traversal attacks. As a temporary workaround, restrict access to sensitive files and directories to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
