Description The issue is related to an untrusted search path vulnerability in the Python interface, allowing local users to execute arbitrary code via a Trojan horse Python file in the current working directory. This is related to a vulnerability in the PySys SetArgv function.
Recommendations For Eye of GNOME (eog) version 2.22.3, consider restricting access to the Python interface until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the PySys SetArgv function in sensitive environments. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
