CVE-2008-6437
CVSS v2.0
4.3
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
PHPFreeForum versions 1.0 RC2 and earlier
Description:
The issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML. This can be achieved via the
message parameter to "error.php", and the nickname and randomid parameters to "part/menu.php".Recommendations:
For PHPFreeForum versions 1.0 RC2 and earlier, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the "error.php" and "part/menu.php" scripts until a patch is available. Avoid using the
message, nickname, and randomid parameters in the affected scripts until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
