Description The issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via shell metacharacters in the var filename parameter in a (1) tif or (2) pdf format action.

Recommendations For nweb2fax versions 0.2.7 and earlier, avoid using the var filename parameter in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved. Restrict access to the viewrq.php file to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
