CVSS v2.0
5.0
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:N/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
GeekiGeeki versions prior to 3.0
Description:
The issue concerns directory traversal vulnerabilities in the geekigeeki.py component of GeekiGeeki. These vulnerabilities allow remote attackers to read arbitrary files by using directory traversal sequences in the
pagename argument within the handle edit and handle raw functions.Recommendations:
For versions prior to 3.0, update to version 3.0 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the
handle edit and handle raw functions to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using directory traversal sequences in the pagename argument until the issue is resolved.Exploit
