CVE-2008-7017

CVSS v2.0

4.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions CAcert versions prior to 20080928
Description A cross-site scripting (XSS) issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the CN (CommonName) field in the subject of an X.509 certificate. This occurs in the analyse.php file.
Recommendations For versions prior to 20080928, update to version 20080928 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the analyse.php file until the update is applied. Avoid using the CN field in the subject of an X.509 certificate in analyse.php until the issue is resolved.
