CVE-2008-7192

CVSS v2.0

6.8

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions WoltLab Burning Board (wBB) versions 3.0.1 through 3.x
Description A cross-site request forgery (CSRF) issue allows remote attackers to hijack user authentication for requests that delete private messages. This is achieved via the pmID parameter in a delete action on a PM page.
Recommendations For versions 3.0.1 through 3.x, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the delete action in the PM page to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the pmID parameter in the affected page until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
