Description
The issue allows remote authenticated users to gain privileges via a crafted RPC message that triggers loading of a DLL file from an arbitrary directory. This could enable an attacker to run arbitrary code with elevated privileges, potentially leading to the installation of programs, viewing, changing, or deleting data, or creating new accounts with full user rights.
Recommendations
For Microsoft Windows 2000 SP4, XP SP2 and SP3, Server 2003 SP2, Vista Gold, SP1, and SP2, and Server 2008 SP2, update to a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
