Description The issue is related to a "pointer use-after-delete flaw" in the directory-services functionality of the scheduler, allowing remote attackers to cause a denial of service by manipulating the timing of CUPS browse packets, potentially leading to a cupsd daemon outage or crash.
Recommendations For CUPS versions 1.1.17 through 1.1.22, consider updating to a newer version to mitigate the risk of a denial of service attack. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
