Description
The issue is related to the improper initialization of a structure member in fs/nfs/client.c, which stores the maximum NFS filename length. This allows local users to cause a denial of service (OOPS) by using a long filename, specifically through the encode lookup function.
Recommendations
For Linux kernel versions prior to 2.6.23, update to version 2.6.23 or later to resolve the issue.
