Description The issue is a stack-based buffer overflow in the rping component of HP OpenView Network Node Manager, which can be exploited when used with SNMP and MIB components before version 1.30.009. This allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service.

Recommendations For HP OpenView Network Node Manager versions 7.51 through 7.53, update the SNMP and MIB components to version 1.30.009 or later to resolve the issue.
