The issue allows remote attackers to bypass authentication and gain administrative access. This can be achieved by setting the
xlaAFPadmin cookie to lvl=1&userid=1, effectively granting unauthorized access to administrative functions.Recommendations:
For Absolute Form Processor XE version 1.5, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to administrative areas until a patch is available. Additionally, avoid using the
xlaAFPadmin cookie or restrict its modification to prevent unauthorized access. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
