CVSS v2.0
4.3
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Sun GlassFish Enterprise Server version 2.1
Description:
The issue concerns multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in the Admin Console. These vulnerabilities allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML. The affected API endpoints include:
"applications/applications.jsf",
"configuration/configuration.jsf",
"customMBeans/customMBeans.jsf",
"resourceNode/resources.jsf",
"sysnet/registration.jsf",
"webService/webServicesGeneral.jsf".
Additionally, the
name parameter in the following endpoints is vulnerable:
"configuration/auditModuleEdit.jsf",
"configuration/httpListenerEdit.jsf",
"resourceNode/jdbcResourceEdit.jsf".Recommendations:
For Sun GlassFish Enterprise Server version 2.1, consider disabling access to the vulnerable API endpoints until a patch is available. Restrict the use of the
name parameter in the affected endpoints to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
