Description:
The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in memory corruption and application crash. This can be achieved by sending an APPID string with an IPv6 address in the correlation token. The vulnerability can be demonstrated using the third-party DataDirect JDBC driver.
Recommendations:
For IBM DB2 version 9.1, update to FP7 or later to resolve the issue.
For IBM DB2 version 9.5, update to FP4 or later to resolve the issue.
