| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
FireStats plugin versions prior to 1.6.2-stable
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary PHP code via a URL in the
fs javascript parameter. This can be exploited by sending a malicious URL to the vulnerable firestats-wordpress.php file.Recommendations
For FireStats plugin versions prior to 1.6.2-stable, update to version 1.6.2-stable or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the
firestats-wordpress.php file to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the fs javascript parameter in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved.Exploit
