CVE-2009-2166

CVSS v2.0

5.0

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions OCS Inventory NG versions prior to 1.02.1
Description The issue allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via a full pathname in the log parameter. This is due to an absolute path traversal vulnerability in the cvs.php file on Unix systems.
Recommendations For versions prior to 1.02.1, update to version 1.02.1 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the cvs.php file to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the log parameter with full pathnames in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved.
