Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Iomega StorCenter Pro (affected versions not specified)
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to hijack active sessions and gain privileges via brute force guessing attacks on the
session id parameter in the "cgi-bin/makecgi-pro" endpoint. This is due to the generation of predictable session IDs.Recommendations
For Iomega StorCenter Pro, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the "cgi-bin/makecgi-pro" endpoint to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the
session id parameter in this endpoint until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
