Description
The issue is related to an integer overflow in Apple CoreGraphics, which can be triggered by a long text run. This can cause a heap-based buffer overflow during font glyph rendering, potentially leading to a denial of service (application crash) or execution of arbitrary code.
Recommendations
For Safari versions prior to 4.0.3, update to version 4.0.3 or later.
For Mozilla Firefox versions prior to 3.0.12, update to version 3.0.12 or later.
For Mac OS X versions 10.4.11 and 10.5.8, consider upgrading to a later version of Mac OS X that incorporates the fix for this issue.
