Description
The issue is related to an integer underflow in the NTLM authentication feature of the Local Security Authority Subsystem Service (LSASS) in Microsoft Windows. This allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in a system reboot, via a malformed packet.

For Microsoft Windows XP versions SP2 through SP3, apply the recommended patch to fix the integer underflow issue in LSASS.
For Microsoft Windows Server 2003 version SP2, apply the recommended patch to fix the integer underflow issue in LSASS.
For Microsoft Windows Vista versions Gold through SP2, apply the recommended patch to fix the integer underflow issue in LSASS.
For Microsoft Windows Server 2008 versions Gold through SP2 and R2, apply the recommended patch to fix the integer underflow issue in LSASS.
For Microsoft Windows 7, at the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.
