| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
TFM MMPlayer versions 2.0 through 2.0.0.30
Description
The issue is a stack-based buffer overflow that allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. This is achieved by providing a long string in a playlist (.m3u) file.
Recommendations
For TFM MMPlayer versions 2.0 through 2.0.0.30, avoid using long strings in playlist files until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of playlist files to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.
