VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Symantec WinFax Pro version 10.03
Description A stack-based buffer overflow issue exists in the Symantec.FaxViewerControl.1 ActiveX control, which is part of the WinFaxDCCFAXVW.DLL component. This issue can be exploited by remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on the affected system. The exploitation occurs when a long argument is passed to the AppendFax method.
