| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
VerliAdmin versions 0.3.7 through 0.3.8
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML, potentially leading to cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks. This can be achieved via several methods, including the URI, the
q parameter, the nick parameter, or the nick parameter in a bantest action.Recommendations
For VerliAdmin versions 0.3.7 and 0.3.8, consider disabling the affected parameters, such as
q, nick, until a patch is available. Restrict access to the index.php file to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the nick parameter in a bantest action until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
