4.3
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Xapian Omega versions prior to 1.0.16
Description:
A cross-site scripting (XSS) issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via unspecified CGI parameter values, which are sometimes included in exception messages.
Recommendations:
For versions prior to 1.0.16, update to version 1.0.16 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to CGI parameters to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using unspecified CGI parameters in exception messages until the issue is resolved.
Fix
