CVSS v2.0
4.3
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Joker Board (aka JBoard) versions 2.0 and earlier
Description:
The issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML, potentially leading to security breaches. This can be achieved through the
notice parameter to "editform.php", the edit user message parameter to "core/edit user message.php", or the user title parameter to "inc/head.inc.php", which can be reached through any PHP script.Recommendations:
For Joker Board (aka JBoard) versions 2.0 and earlier, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the vulnerable parameters
notice, edit user message, and user title until a patch is available. Avoid using these parameters in the affected API endpoints until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
