CVE-2009-3787

CVSS v2.0

5.0

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Vivvo CMS version 4.1.5.1
Description The issue allows remote attackers to conduct directory traversal attacks and read arbitrary files. This is achieved by manipulating the file parameter with "logs/" in between two . (dot) characters, which is filtered into a "../" sequence, enabling access to files outside the intended directory.
Recommendations For Vivvo CMS version 4.1.5.1, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the files.php script until a patch is available. Additionally, avoid using the file parameter with sequences that could be filtered into "../" to minimize the risk of exploitation.
