Description
The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service or execute arbitrary code via malformed data in a media file. This can be achieved by exploiting the Indeo32 codec, specifically the ir32 32.dll 3.24.15.3 file, with a malformed stream in a media file, such as an AVI file.
Recommendations
For Windows 2000 SP4, Windows XP SP2 and SP3, and Server 2003 SP2, update to a version that includes the fix for the Indeo32 codec issue to prevent exploitation.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
