| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:S/C:N/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
osTicket versions prior to 1.6.0
Description
The issue is related to a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability. It allows remote authenticated users to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the
f parameter in the "scp/ajax.php" file. This might be connected to an error message generated by "scp/admin.php".Recommendations
For versions prior to 1.6.0, update to version 1.6.0 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the "scp/ajax.php" file to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the
f parameter in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved.Exploit
