Description
The issue arises from the improper definition of wsadmin scripting J2CConnectionFactory objects in the affected software, allowing local users to discover a KeyRingPassword password. This is achieved by reading a cleartext field in the resources.xml file.
Recommendations
For IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) versions 6.0 through 6.0.2.40, update to version 6.0.2.41 or later.
For IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) versions 6.1 through 6.1.0.30, update to version 6.1.0.31 or later.
For IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) versions 7.0 through 7.0.0.8, update to version 7.0.0.9 or later.
