Description
The issue is related to a stack-based buffer overflow in the OVParseLLA function in ov.dll, part of the netmon.exe component in HP OpenView Network Node Manager. This allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via the
sel parameter.Recommendations
For HP OpenView Network Node Manager versions 7.01, 7.51, and 7.53, consider restricting access to the vulnerable
sel parameter in the netmon.exe component until a patch is available.
