Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Cacti versions prior to 0.8.7f
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via specific parameters to certain PHP files. The vulnerable parameters include
hostname and description in host.php, as well as host id in data sources.php.Recommendations
For versions prior to 0.8.7f, update to version 0.8.7f or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the
host.php and data sources.php files to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the hostname, description, and host id parameters in the affected API endpoints until the issue is resolved.Fix
