Description
The issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via an RSS feed, which is a type of cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability. This occurs when an application takes untrusted data and sends it to a web browser without proper validation or escaping, allowing an attacker to inject malicious scripts.
Recommendations
For Apple Safari versions prior to 5.0.1 on Mac OS X 10.5 through 10.6 and Windows, update to version 5.0.1 or later.
For Apple Safari versions prior to 4.1.1 on Mac OS X 10.4, update to version 4.1.1 or later.
