CVSS v2.0
7.5
High
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
PHP versions 5.3 through 5.3.2
Description
The issue allows context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) and possibly trigger memory corruption via a negative chunk size, which bypasses a signed comparison, related to an integer overflow in the chunk size decoder when decoding an HTTP chunked encoding stream.
Recommendations
For PHP versions 5.3 through 5.3.2, consider updating to a version that fixes the integer overflow in the chunk size decoder to prevent denial of service and potential memory corruption attacks.
