Description
The issue is related to a race condition in the kernel that allows local users to gain privileges. It is an elevation of privilege vulnerability due to the way the kernel handles specific thread creation attempts. An attacker who successfully exploits this could run arbitrary code in kernel mode, potentially allowing them to install programs, view, change, or delete data, or create new accounts with full user rights.
