Description
The issue arises from the improper validation of fields in an SMB request by the SMB Server, allowing remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted SMB packet. This is an unauthenticated remote code execution vulnerability in the way that Microsoft Server Message Block (SMB) Protocol software handles specially crafted SMB packets. An attacker can exploit the vulnerability by sending a specially crafted network message to a computer running the Server service, potentially taking complete control of the system.
