Description The issue is related to a use-after-free vulnerability in the nsTreeSelection function, which might allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via vectors involving a XUL tree selection. This is due to a "dangling pointer vulnerability" and is a result of an incomplete fix for a previous issue.
Recommendations For Mozilla Firefox versions prior to 3.5.12, update to version 3.5.12 or later. For Mozilla Firefox versions 3.6.x prior to 3.6.9, update to version 3.6.9 or later. For Thunderbird versions prior to 3.0.7, update to version 3.0.7 or later. For Thunderbird versions 3.1.x prior to 3.1.3, update to version 3.1.3 or later.
