CVE-2010-2797

CVSS v2.0

7.5

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions CMS Made Simple versions prior to 1.8.1
Description A directory traversal issue exists, allowing remote attackers to include and execute arbitrary local files. This is achieved by using a .. (dot dot) in the default cms lang parameter to an admin script, such as 'admin/addbookmark.php'.
Recommendations For versions prior to 1.8.1, update to version 1.8.1 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the admin/addbookmark.php script and other admin scripts that use the default cms lang parameter until the update is applied. Avoid using the default cms lang parameter with untrusted input in the affected admin scripts until the issue is resolved.
