Description The issue allows local users, and possibly remote attackers, to execute arbitrary code and conduct DLL hijacking attacks. This can be achieved via a Trojan horse dwmapi.dll that is located in the same folder as a .mxi or .mxp file.
Recommendations For Adobe Extension Manager CS5 version 5.0.298, consider restricting access to untrusted search paths to minimize the risk of exploitation. As a temporary workaround, avoid using .mxi or .mxp files from untrusted sources until a patch is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
