CVE-2010-3351

CVSS v2.0

6.9

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:M/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions startBristol version 0.60.5
Description The issue allows local users to gain privileges via a Trojan horse shared library in the current working directory. This is due to a zero-length directory name being placed in the LD LIBRARY PATH.
Recommendations For version 0.60.5, consider restricting access to the LD LIBRARY PATH environment variable to prevent unauthorized modifications until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using startBristol with untrusted libraries in the current working directory.
