Description
The issue is related to the
sctp packet config function in the Linux kernel, which performs unnecessary initializations of packet data structures. This allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in a system panic, by sending a specific sequence of SCTP traffic.Recommendations
For Linux kernel versions prior to 2.6.35.6, update to version 2.6.35.6 or later to resolve the issue.
