CVE-2010-3868

CVSS v2.0

5.8

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Red Hat Certificate System (RHCS) versions 7.3 and 8 Dogtag Certificate System (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue allows remote attackers to obtain one-time PINs by sending decryption requests to the Certificate Authority component, as no authentication is required for requests to decrypt SCEP one-time PINs. This can be achieved by sniffing the network for SCEP requests.
Recommendations For Red Hat Certificate System (RHCS) versions 7.3 and 8, consider implementing authentication for requests to decrypt SCEP one-time PINs to prevent unauthorized access. For Dogtag Certificate System, at the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
