| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:P |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
IBM solidDB version 6.5.0.3 and earlier
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service by consuming memory and crashing the daemon. This is achieved by connecting to TCP port 1315 and sending a packet with many integer fields, triggering many recursive calls of a certain function.
Recommendations
For IBM solidDB version 6.5.0.3 and earlier, consider restricting access to TCP port 1315 to minimize the risk of exploitation. As a temporary workaround, limit the number of connections to the daemon until a fix is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.
